Judge acquits former CBC Radio host, Jian Ghomeshi, on all charges of sexual assault and choking.

Protesters rally outside the courthouse in outrage over Ghomeshi acquittal. Women express widespread anguish online. Prime Minister Trudeau chose not to comment on the specific case, saying, “It just came down, and in any case, I’m not going to react to specific verdict like that.” He added, “I think these are the kinds of discussions we need to be having as a society that values and has respect for women.”

Vancouver Rape Relief organizes rally in support of Ghomeshi’s victims. Protestors shouted, “Women: We believe you.”

After Microsoft hired women dressed as sexualized schoolgirls to dance at a company event, they proceeded to create a “teen girl” twitter account for an Artificial Intelligence robot that calls men “daddy” and tells them to f*** her.

Female Columbia Professor files sexual harassment suit against University:

“The professor told her about watching pornography and his sexual exploits, she said. He started making advances toward her, calling her ‘sexy’… In a lawsuit against the university filed on Tuesday in Federal District Court, Ms. Ravina said she complained repeatedly to Columbia officials about the situation, but that they only dismissed and belittled her…

She claims that [the harassing male professor] retaliated against her when she rebuffed his advances by delaying and impeding her work. At one point, the lawsuit says, he told her that if ‘she were ‘nicer’ to him, he would allow her work to proceed faster.”

*EDIT: Tonight (Thursday, March 24th) at 6pm, Vancouver Rape Relief is organizing another protest rally at the CBC building, Georgia and Hamilton.
