A California rep has proposed a bill that would require a student’s rape charges to appear on their college transcript.

Zochem Inc. has been ordered to pay $60,000 in “moral damages” after firing a woman who complained of constant on-the-job sexual harassment.

An undocumented woman seeking a protective order against her abusive boyfriend was arrested after ICE agents reportedly received a tip about her hearing (likely from the abuser himself).

Aboriginal police in a small Innu community refused to investigate a sexual abuse allegation because the accused was the chief.

Ah, the everyday sexism in the “media”:

Example 1: The huge, blown up photo of the woman in the story about the rape bill. Why? What is it saying? Who chose it? What do you think the chances are it was a male? I’d say about 100%.

Example 2: In that same story there is an ad in the middle of the page for “Entrepreneur,” whatever that is, sponsored by FedEx. It features a young woman in a mini skirt with her crotch almost showing. This is probably the work of demographic algorithm targeting in the digital age — they figure people reading stories about rape are likely be either a) young women who wear short skirts and it serves them right for being raped. See this *entrepreneur* in a mini skirt? That’s what you get! OR
    b) young men reading the story because it makes them mad and they deserve to see a young woman in a mini skirt with her crotch almost showing in an article about rape, which ironically, pays for the article about rape. Neato!!

Example 3: Why did the male author of the sexual harassment story include the woman’s age and nobody else’s? What did it have to do with anything?

And the story about not being able to touch the chief but by all means *do* touch the 12-year-old girl all you want!: I’ve seen this situation so many times (not always minors). Powerful men in charge of things (especially money/business) get to do whatever the fuck they want. They’re just too big to fail!

Stop applying hysteria to male logic. That is exactly why women are unfit for education.

Several places are reporting that the undocumented woman that was taken at the courthouse by ICE was trans.

I posted about that story to a board that I frequent yesterday or the day before. Some sources (the one that I used was alternet) just said “an undocumented woman”. After seeing the comments on alternet asserting that the woman was actually trans, I did a Google search and found several articles stating that he was a transwoman.

    https://www.google.com/amp/www.cbsnews.com/amp/news/undocumented-transgender-woman-filing-domestic-violence-claim-arrested-at-el-paso-courthouse-by-ice-official-says/

That’s just one example. There’s a lot more.
