What’s Current: Julie Bindel no-platformed from event about feminism & free speech

University of Manchester Student’s Union de-platforms Julie Bindel from — wait for it — a panel discussion on feminism and censorship! Sexist man who says he “hate[s] lesbians” remains on the panel*. Student Union Women’s Officer, Jess Lishak, defends the decision by claiming Bindel has been on a “tireless campaign to deny trans people their basic human rights.” The trend of lying about feminists in order to silence them continues! Sign the petition to let Bindel speak.

Daily Show’s new host, Trevor Noah, proposes that anti-abortion advocates like presidential candidate Carly Fiorina and Jeb Bush channel their pro-life rhetoric into another issue: gun control. *UPDATE: Instead of reversing their ridiculous ban on Bindel, the University of Manchester Student’s Union had decided to ban Milo Yiannopoulos too.
