Shana Grice told police that her ex-boyfriend, Michael Lane was stalking her and had assaulted her just months before she was found dead. Instead of helping the 19-year-old, the police charged Grice with “having caused wasteful employment of police by making a false report” because she failed to disclose that Lane was her on-off boyfriend.  Lane, 27, is currently standing trial for her murder.
