What’s Current: In leaked texts Asia Argento says Jimmy Bennett ‘jumped her’ and sent unsolicited nudes

  • Asia Argento, the Italian actress and filmmaker who went public about being raped by Harvey Weinstein, says Jimmy Bennett, who claims she had sex with him when he was 17-years-old, “jumped her.” In leaked text messages, the actress admits they had sex, but says she didn’t realize his age until she received a legal threat from Bennett, adding:

“It [sic] wasn’t raped, but I was frozen. He was on top of me. After, he told me I had been his sexual fantasy since he was 12…

… [He] kept sending me unsolicited nudes all these years up until two weeks before the attorneys letter.”

  • German actor Emma Loman has filed a lawsuit against Harvey Weinstein, alleging he raped her in 2006 at the Cannes film festival.
  • A recent legal decision could lead to an increase in the number of underage girls exploited in porn, due to a change to U.S. Code Title 18 Section 2257, which requires porn producers to keep stringent records on the ages of performers and allows federal agents to inspect them at any time.
  • A Brampton man sentenced to three years in jail after pleading guilty to human trafficking-related charges involving the sexual exploitation of young women is worried his school year will be in jeopardy.
  • Terrance Finn, 73, has been charged with first-degree murder, after shooting his 70-year-old wife at the Home Depot store in Peterborough.
  • Danueal Drayton, who was arrested this year after choking his ex-girlfriend in Nassau County, was released due to missing paperwork documenting his history of violence against women. Two weeks after he got out of jail, Drayton raped and murdered a nurse he met on Tinder.
