  • Over a hundred pregnant women in Brazil are dying each month, according to government data. The rate has doubled since last year and is attributed in part to overburdened hospitals as a result of COVID-19.
  • Child marriages are on the rise in Yemen. An estimated 4 million girls, some as young as 10, were forcibly married last year, according to UNICEF.
