What’s Current: Veracruz votes to decriminalize abortion

  • Mexico’s state of Veracruz voted to decriminalize abortion up to 12 weeks, making it the fourth state in the nation to do so, along with Mexico City, Oaxaca, and Hidalgo.
  • Twelve women have filed a lawsuit against Liberty University alleging that the administration created an environment on its Virginia campus that enabled rape and sexual assault.
