What’s Current: Respect My Sex campaigners unite with JK Rowling

  • J.K. Rowling organizes a lunch in London with women who are targeted by trans activists for their beliefs. The meeting follows the launch of the Respect My Sex women’s rights campaign, and was attended by Maya Forstater, Professor Kathleen Stock, MP Rosie Duffield, and other women who have been silenced by the trans lobby.
  • Canada’s Liberal government admits its “feminist” federal budget benefits men more than women. CBC reports:

“Nearly half of the budget’s measures — 44 per cent — are expected to benefit women and men in equal proportions, while 42 per cent are expected to directly or indirectly benefit men. Only a considerably smaller share of the budget measures — roughly 14 per cent — will directly or indirectly benefit women.”

  • A Texas woman who was detained on a murder charge for allegedly causing “the death of an individual by ‘self-induced abortion’” is released from jail after the case was dropped.
