French police confront Muslim woman on a beach in Nice and force her to remove her head covering and traditional bathing attire. Police argue that she was not “wearing an outfit respecting good morals and secularism.”

Edinburgh’s LGTB+ officer Ada Wells resigns after police become overwhelmed with the volume of complaints around Wells’ involvement in the Edinburgh University Students’ Association (EUSA). Wells, a transwoman, has attracted controversy numerous times, including for referring to women as “cuntscum” and for tweeting recently, “i sure hope more police die today [sic].”
