What’s Current: Taylor Swift wins civil sexual assault lawsuit

Taylor Swift wins civil sexual assault lawsuit against DJ David Mueller. Swift, who was awarded a symbolic $1 in damages, issued a written statement after the verdict saying:

“I acknowledge the privilege that I benefit from in life, in society and in my ability to shoulder the enormous cost of defending myself in a trial like this… My hope is to help those whose voices should also be heard. Therefore, I will be making donations in the near future to multiple organizations that help sexual assault victims defend themselves.”

Police are still searching for the man who pushed a woman in front of a bus in London in May because she was in the way of his jogging path.

Swedish journalist Kim Wall is missing after boarding a submarine built by Peter Madsen, a Danish man who she was profiling.
