Women in India’s sex industry have been neglected by government support during the COVID-19 outbreak and are facing increased risks of starvation.
Scottish Parliament’s consultation on a gender identity bill, the Gender Representation on Public Boards Act, received numerous responses demanding the government should reassess who can legally qualify as a woman. The GRPBA defines woman as “a person who has the protected characteristic of gender reassignment,” which would apply to even those individuals without a Gender Recognition Certificate.
In Yemen, women activists are being abducted and tortured by rebel forces. A support group in Cairo for women released from detention has told The Associated Press of 33 documented cases of rape and eight instances of women debilitated by torture.
The Internet Watch Foundation has found that 90 per cent of child sexual abuse content is hosted in Europe, with 71 per cent hosted in the Netherlands.
