What’s Current: Trans TikToker Dylan Mulvaney becomes Nike Women brand ambassador

  • Women express outrage online after trans-identified influencer Dylan Mulvaney shared a series of posts advertising a sponsorship from Nike Women. This comes just days after Bud Light was slammed for featuring Mulvaney’s face on its beer cans to celebrate a year of “girlhood.” In November, #BoycottTampax trended after the TikTok star was reportedly offered a sponsorship by the tampon company.
  • The individual who assaulted Kellie-Jay Keen (aka Posie Parker) with tomato juice at her New Zealand “Let Women Speak” rally has pled not guilty. Eliana Golberstein, who has reportedly also gone by the names Luis Alexander, Eliana Rubashkyn, and Eli Rubashkyn, is identified as both a woman and as intersex, but appears to have been born male. The trans activist is a representative for the United Nations who worked  as a Program Officer at ILGA World (the International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, and Intersex Association) and was reportedly invited to speak at the UN International Women’s Day celebration.
  • The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) has filed a lawsuit against Indiana for its law banning the medical transitioning of minors.
