The ‘transing kids’ racket gets evermore creepy

In the last 24 hours, news broke that Dr. Jacob Breslow, a trustee who sat on the board of Mermaids, a charity supporting the transitioning of kids, has been involved in efforts to normalize pedophilia. The academic, now an assistant professor of gender and sexuality at LSE, resigned last night after it was revealed that he had spoken at a conference hosted by an organization called B4U-ACT in 2011. B4U-ACT describes its aims as a “unique collaborative effort between minor-attracted people and mental health professionals to promote communication and understanding between the two groups.”

Mermaids has always been a predatory organization, selling transition to minors, and became the subject of a Charity Commission investigation after reports that the charity had been giving chest binders to children as young as 13 and 14, without parental consent.

To my mind, any individual or group encouraging children to undergo hormonal treatments and surgeries that destroy their bodies for life is unconscionable. For many years, these groups have been able to get away with this, having sold their efforts as “aid” to so-called “trans kids,” and as “life-saving health care.” Of course, preventing children from developing properly does not save their lives, and indeed puberty blockers have serious side-effects and long term harms.

It was within the gender critical movement that I was introduced to the idea that the invention of the concept of “trans kids” came to be as a means to normalize the fetishes of adult men, and as the evidence piles up, one wonders who will be accountable?

As detailed by Jo Bartosch at Spiked, lobby groups like Mermaids pressured clinicians to provide puberty blockers and hormone treatments to kids, launching intimidation campaigns (involving the law in some cases) against those who dared challenge their efforts. Of course Mermaids is not alone in this — for years, the attacks on anyone who challenges trans activists have been absolutely vicious.

Last month, we saw Kiwi Farms, a notorious online forum hosting all sorts of dark and dirty information about various internet personalities, including many trans activists, taken down — not by an innocent victim of transphobic bullies, as claimed, but by a serial liar who wished to keep incriminating information under wraps. The gamer and trans activist known as “Keffals” (legal name Clara Sorrenti) was in fact a dedicated online bully and harasser themselves, committed to going after anyone who challenges gender identity dogma or him, as an individual. He and his ex-partner are reported to have been involved in producing and distributing hormone replacement therapy (HRT) to minors.

The sordid connection between adult male trans activists and the grooming of minors runs deep, and is only just now being reported openly, becoming impossible to ignore. Adult men with fetishes, deeply misogynistic views of women, whose sexualities and interest in transgenderism have been undeniably shaped by pornography, have been treated as not only legitimate, but as an oppressed class of people in need of protection by politicians, progressive activists, institutions, academia, and the media. These men have been responsible for threats, harassment, blackballing, and silencing of women who speak out, yet it is the women they target who have been widely presented as the enemy.

The entire LGBTQ movement has now become centered around normalizing men’s fetishes — from BDSM, to autogynephilia and cross-dressing, to “furries” and “pups,” to pedophilia. No longer is Pride about gay and lesbian rights.

This move away from gay rights to trans activism has been primarily about two things: money and male sexual entitlement. As money dried up for charities and organizations invested in the now mostly resolved fight for gay rights, they moved towards trans activism — presented as the newest frontier in the LGBTQ movement, and therefore in need of funding. To survive, any LGBTQ organization needed to get on board, and eventually it became mandatory for any progressive group or institution seeking funding to do the same, or risk losing grants. This was tied to a push to mainstream “queer theory” and normalize the public display of men’s sexual fetishes as “identities” that must be accepted and celebrated in order to be “inclusive.” Trans activists adopted the gay rights movement’s “born this way” ethos in order to legitimize their identities, meaning that in order for there to be such thing as trans adults, there needed also to be “trans kids” — “Some kids are just born trans — deal with it!”

Now, we are faced with a situation wherein we have allowed predatory adults to destroy the lives of countless minors, with those pushing back banned from public discourse. These very marginalized people have an enormous level of power across social media, as evidenced by Cloudflare’s decision to drop KiwiFarms, as well as the countless individuals who have been banned from using platforms like Twitter, for challenging trans activist beliefs and practices.

I hope that, at long last, people’s eyes are being opened to what has been happening all this time. We have lost so much already, and it will take a lot to turn this ship around.

I will continue to say this over and over again: There is no such thing as a “trans child.” There are just children, who should be protected from adult desires and politics, not experimented on or used as props in adults’ efforts to appear “woke” on Twitter.

As the evidence becomes more and more difficult to ignore that this whole thing has been a sham, will those who facilitated this nightmare be accountable?
